GTRNZ GT3 Championship Title

As you know we went into the final round last weekend at Pukekohe with a very slender 10 point margin over another thirsty liquor backed car that of Nigel Lucas.

Nigel and I have battled all season for the top honours and it went down to the wire at Puke.

We nearly had a tragic start as in qualifying in the 3rd lap we threw a power steering belt upon turning into ford mountain which nearly put us in the wall,we had done just enough to put the car in P1 at the time.

In race one we started from pole and went onto battle bumper to bumper with Nigel to take out the race win.

In race two we started from the rear of the grid and managed to get up to 2nd position.

Race three was similar we started from the back and crept up to 5th.

We had done enough to take out the round win,and in doing so finished a mere 13 points ahead of Nigel for the season to take out the GTRNZ GT3 championship title!
